FREESTYLE HIKE N TUNES
Passing through I picked Trevor up from the Mill Valley skatepark and he directed me on a tour of some of Mnt Tam’s beautiful sights. Trevor being the local I wanted to explore something that would be new for both of us. Randomly pulling off the road we parked and walked toward the armpit of a mountain. Looking up we could see rocky top which acted as a clearing from the surrounding trees. With no trails in sight we went forth. Zig Zagging up the side of the mountain things began to get hairy. The manzanita was manageable at first, walking around, ducking under and containing on. However, three-quarters of the way up the ground tree became so this that we had to tunnel our way under. Breaking dead branches off and sometimes crawling below. With pinstriped arms and bloody shins we ducted through to the top revealing a view of two separate lakes far below. Passing the banjo back and forth we made up tunes with space tunings and spastic hybrid picking.
